  • Tyler Trettin

    Owner/Head Coach

    Tyler Trettin has been CrossFitting for seven years and uses his wealth of experience to program CrossFit Ephrata’s CrossFit Classes and Youth Sports Performance. “I am constantly looking at ways to improve our overall programs,” he says. “Our programming incorporates many aspects including injury prevention, mobility, energy systems, strength, and hypertrophy. I specialize in maximizing these areas in our training to ensure our clients meet their goals.”

    Tyler knows all his hard work is worth it when he sees his members achieving success. “I love to watch their journey from day 1 to current, and I am very happy that I can play a role in their success,” he says. “I love making people better in the gym because I know it carries on to all aspects of their life.”

  • Erin Trettin

    Owner/Coach/Nutrition Coach

    Erin Trettin is a mom and 8th grade English teacher that specializes in developing strength and nutrition programs at CrossFit Ephrata. “It’s a privilege to witness women and men become confident and happy with their progress,” she says. “I especially love watching the transformation women go through. Watching women embrace their strength by being proud of their hard-earned bodies is just plain awesome!”

    She says her best athletic accomplishment is finally finding a fitness program that “has me caring more about what I can get my body to do rather than what it looks like! CrossFit has put me at peace.”

  • Shaun Leid

    Coach

    Shaun Leid says his favorite part of coaching is seeing members react to encouragement mid-workout. “It’s amazing to watch athletes increase intensity and break through barriers when they know someone is holding them accountable,” he says.

    Shaun tried CrossFit after listening to his wife brag about the classes. “I was hooked from day 1,” he says. “The constant challenge of learning new movements and chasing faster times and the CrossFit Open has filled a competitive void for both of us.” When Shaun and his wife aren’t at CrossFit Ephrata, you can find them leading a group of 5th and 6th graders at their church.

  • Dave “CFD” Becker

    Coach

    Davey “CFD” Becker is a 5th grade math and science teacher at Twin Valley Middle School. And anyone that can handle middle schoolers full time is sure enough tough enough to handle any workout whining with ease.

    Davey is passionate about helping people improve and feel better about themselves, especially older members who might feel intimidated when they first walk in. His favorite quote is “Don’t talk about it, be about it!”

  • Jordan Wissinger

    Coach/Weightlifting Coach

    Jordan Wissinger is a lifelong athlete who specializes in weightlifting and mobility evaluations. He says it’s easy to coach CrossFit Ephrata members because “All of our athletes listen and take directions well. They are very friendly which makes it easy to coach them since I have a relationship with all of them.”

    Before becoming a CrossFit coach, Jordan participated in gymnastics for eight years and high school wrestling for four years. He’s also been a competitive weightlifter for two years, claiming the title of 2016 69kg U25 National Champion and placing third at the 2016 69kg University Nationals.

  • Brandt Zimmerman

    Coach/Gym Manager

    Brandt Zimmerman specializes in helping people gain mobility, strength and stability at any age. “Whether it is a 60-year-old woman achieving her first pushup or a college athlete improving their back squat, I love to help everyone meet and succeed all their goals in the fitness world.”

    Brandt played high school football and lacrosse, plus two years in the American Lacrosse League. He also coached Garden Spot High School boys’ lacrosse team in 2009 and 2010. “I was drawn to coaching at CrossFit Ephrata after receiving coaching from them to obtain my personal goals,” he said. “I wanted to give that opportunity to other people.”

  • Matt Horning

    Coach

    Matt Horning spent 10+ years coaching swimming and was a competitive swimmer from childhood through college. So Matt knows a thing or two about getting your head in the game and never giving up.

    When Matt isn’t at the gym pushing his members out of their comfort zones so they can accomplish things they never thought possible, you can find him teaching 5th grade at Adamstown Elementary, mountain biking, and trail running.

  • Aly Wisler

    Coach

    Aly Wisler is passionate about helping women of ALL ages find the empowerment that comes through CrossFit. “CrossFit has the ability to redefine the stereotypes of beauty for women. Through CrossFit, women can embrace their body for what it is and what it is capable of,” she says.

    Aly is a passionate Christian who works to instill the love of Jesus Christ to the youth of our community and in the Ephrata School District through TNT Youth Ministry. Her favorite quote is Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.”

  • Josh Sawyer

    Coach

    Josh Sawyer discovered CrossFit through a friend and was hooked from the first day. “After learning about CrossFit and the methodology behind it, as well as watching the coaches at our gym and the way they interacted with the members, I knew I wanted to become a coach,” he says. “Since beginning my coaching career, it has reinforced my love to help people on a daily basis.”

    Josh specializes in aerobic capacity, endurance and sport-specific training. He’s passionate about health and fitness and loves showing people how great it can be to lead an active lifestyle.
