Monday, December 3rd – Announcements
A lot has been going on the last few months! Talks of moving the gym, changing our programming focus, coaching changes, and it’s the holiday season! The important thing we want our members to know is that nothing is changing right now. We are staying at our current location, and as soon as we have any updates, we will let you know. Our programming will stay the same and be a good fit for beginner to advanced athletes. If your goal is to improve your health, feel great, look great, etc., we will support you. If your goal is to compete in CrossFit or you enjoy the challenges of high-level CrossFit, we will support you.
We are all part of one community whose goal is to be better, fitter, healthier, and happier! Do not let the changes or possible changes affect your workouts, goals, or happiness. It’s often said the only constant is change. Our community has been blessed for a long time, and we have predominantly experienced positive change. Everything will work out for the future! Continue to come in and train hard like you usually do. Enjoy the push, the sweat, the community! Focus on getting the most you can out of your workouts and making it the best hour of your day.
We want the best for all of our members (current and past), and we hope our gym has had far more of a positive impact than any potential negatives. As the owner, I have mentioned previously this has been a stressful time to figure out the best solutions on everything going on. If I could do some things over again, I would. Hindsight is always 20/20, but, regardless, the fitness of our members and value of our membership has always been my highest priority.
As a member, you should not feel stressed, angry, or awkward about any of the changes. It’s not a matter of picking sides or proving who is right, wrong, better, worse, etc. We all want the same things—to be fitter, happier, and healthier. We hope you accomplish these goals for yourself regardless of where your future fitness takes you. We, of course, hope that future is with CrossFit Ephrata, but everyone has to do what works best for him/her. The CrossFit Community is a beautiful community where powerful relationships are built. CrossFitters are very passionate, and in times of change, that passion can strain relationships. I encourage everyone to keep their relationships healthy and move forward with positivity. At the end of the day, we are all still one community whose focus is to be better, fitter, healthier and happier! We accomplish this through the sweat, hard work, competition, and friendship. Tomorrow is a new day, a new week, a new month. Hit the refresh button, and enjoy some fitness!!
2018 CrossFit Ephrata’s Christmas Party will be a post workout party on Saturday, December 22nd at 11am. We will do our Dirty Santa gift exchange. Bring a wrapped gift ($15-20) value to participate. Bring your favorite brunch/lunch item and Mad Chef’s Francisco Ramirez will be in the house with craft beers!! You may also bring your own beverages if you prefer. Francisco will be selling craft beers for $4 a beer and all proceeds will go toward Coach Aly and Coach Jen’s trip to compete at Wodapalooza in Miami!! Friends and family are all invited!
The next 2 weeks of workouts are compliments of Coach Josh. He has some fresh new challenges and great ideas to push our fitness! After the next 2 weeks, we will be starting a new strength cycle so you can start building toward some new PR’s!
A quick note on buying products- we removed part of the desk so members can have access to the refrigerators. We don’t always have a staff member available to help with the purchase of meals, protein shakes, perfect bars, etc. so feel free to help yourself. Just make sure you record your purchases and pay for them. Thank you!
